Landscaping…Day 39

Jay and his crew are working hard to extend the driveway surface to the street and complete the rain garden. The first photo shows the paver surface a little after 1:00 this afternoon. They hope to get pavers installed all the way to the screed guide (the white line at the end) and “set” the new pavers in this section before the rains predicted for tomorrow…aarrgghh!

The next two photos show the rain garden and address rock as Jay and the crew work to get the plants installed. They hauled in some additional soil to elevate the address rock and create a berm across the front at the street. The first photo shows the scale of the garden and position of the address rock at the end of the driveway. The plantings in the garden already look great and will only get better with time.

The last photo shows the front face of the address rock from a spot in the street just beyond the driveway. Matt Wolfe and Jay worked for some time this morning to get the boulder positioned exactly where they wanted it. We plan to have our address carved into the flat front face…stay tuned for more about this later!
