Painting…Day 56 (wrap-up report)

Steve and Pete spent most of the day yesterday glazing the mudroom and first floor laundry room cabinets as they applied the distressed finish. The first photo shows the best shot I have (so far…) of the cabinets above the washer and dryer area in the laundry room.

The next photo is yet another shot of the outside wall in the laundry room from the middle of the kitchen. This view with the kitchen archway in front of the squared-off (pocket) doorway into the laundry room keeps fining it’s way into the blog. The glazing operations include a whole bunch of wiping with dry rags. The next photo shows one of the painter’s ladders pressed into duty as a drying rack in the garage.

The last photo shows one of the full glass doors for the living room next to the front door of the house drying in the garage after the second coat of Sikkens. Steve plans to apply the third coat of clear Sikkens later today.
