Painting…Day 49

The whole Carmichael decorating crew worked at the “L” Shaped House this morning. Steve Carmichael met with Deb and Paul Winters to look at our color choice for the James Hardie siding while Rick, James, and Jordan started masking windows in preparation for spraying the outside of the house. Steve rolled out a big swatch of Sherwin Williams (6278) Cloak Grey color on the siding at the front wall of the music room. By the time I arrived around noon Steve and Deb had decided it was good to go…

The next photo shows the Cloak Grey paint on the music room wall with a sample door section Steve provided superimposed on top using Photoshop. The sample door was coated using Sikkens Cetol Door and Window Satin varnish in the mahogany color. The Cetol varnish is applied in three coats. Steve and Deb agreed to use at least two coats (possibly all three) of colored stain to make the red more vivid.
